Breachway is a premium strategy game for PC by developer Edgeflow Studio. It's a sci-fi deckbuilder featuring roguelike elements wherein players will embark on a journey to the far reaches of space in search of a mysterious communication and trace it back to its source no matter where it might lead. 

Much like Stellar Tactics or Star Traders: Frontiers, coming out in July 2024, Breachway boasts deeply tactical turn-based combat that lets players plan for any given situation and enemy encounter. It also features various ship classes, weapons, and parts to fully customize their loadout before embarking on a run. 

Cryptic communication 

The game takes place in the titular Breachway, a vast star system wherein you captain a spaceship and its crew on a mission to locate a mysterious communication from an unknown source called the Signal. Assemble a rag-tag crew, load out your ship, and prepare for the perilous journey ahead, dealing with all kinds of danger that will come your way. 

There are six unique factions in the Breachway and each one requires a different approach to establishing relations. When battles ensue, combat will revolve around turn-based tactics and a card deck as moves set. Determine the best course of action for every situation, whether it's disabling your enemy's ship systems first to cripple their attacks or use overwhelming firepower to decimate them. 

There are different ship classes to choose from and modify to your liking. Combine various weapons, defensive kits, and modules for unique results and effects. Discover synergies with your cards to maximize the effectiveness of your load. Now, as of this writing, the game is not available yet, and there is no specific release date apart from a July 2024 window.

The deckbuilding mechanic offers a nice twist to battles, and the different ways to customize your ship means you can experiment with all kinds of combinations to find one that suits you.
