Grid Gladiators is a premium strategy game for PC developed by Ben Coffman. It is a 2D roguelike deckbuilder, wherein players will go on a grand quest to conquer a vast and dangerous land map through tactical encounters on grid-based battlefields against an assortment of enemies. 

Compared to other popular deckbuilding games like Slay the Spire or Cobalt Core, Grid Gladiators incorporates terrain conditions and battle formations with strategic planning to deliver more tactical control. Newcomers can check out the demo version to get a preview of the general gameplay. 

Environmental battles 

Grid Gladiators takes place in a vast fantasy world, where you embark on a mission to overcome a large map, one battle at a time. Fights happen on grid-based battlefields set across multiple unique biomes where you face a diverse set of enemies standing in your way. Build the ideal card deck to deal with all kinds of different situations and leave your mark on the land. 

Engage in turn-based encounters and deploy units across the grid to defeat the opposing side. Unit placement plays a huge role in fights, as you block and avoid attacks, and unleash attacks that maximize AOE parameters. Then, there are the three procedurally generated terrains that affect your runs depending on where in the map you choose to start. Plan carefully to avoid being at a tactical disadvantage. 

As you tweak and build your deck, upgrade your cards with special stickers that grant all kinds of effects and bonuses that change the way you play. Now, if you enjoyed playing the demo and want more, you have to wait a while longer, since the game is not available until March 2026, which is still a few months away.
