It is a turn-based tactical roguelike adventure featuring philosophical and cosmic themes for its story and gameplay. Set at the end of the universe, where humanity has disappeared, and all that’s left are ideas that have begun to materialize. Players will compete against other thoughts and concept to find their plan in this new world of existence. 

Ideas come to life 

In Rogue Tactics, humanity is gone, and in its place, springs forth the world of ideas near the end of the universe. You play as one such being that has come to life, but you must compete against others to justify your existence. You’ll do so with the help of animal companions and engage in tactical turn-based combat across a procedurally generated world. Your battles will have an effect and shape the environment around you. 

In addition to the over 200 creatures you can collect, you will also unlock more than 120 magical spells, along with 200-plus ideas that have unique effects during battle. With all that said, the game does come with a relatively high learning curve at the beginning as you learn its systems and mechanics. 

Conceptualization to realization 

Overall, Rogue Tactics is an intriguing roguelike adventure with a unique premise and story. The combat is solid and allows for plenty of diversity and tactics, given the many creatures and spells you can unlock and combine.
