Shuffle Tactics is a premium action PC game by developer Club Sandwich. It is a pixel roguelike adventure that features tactical turn-based combat. Set in a dark fantasy world, players will go on a dangerous quest to stop an evil king from spreading corruption and chaos across the land. 

Comparable to games like Into The Breach and Tactical Breach Wizards, Shuffle Tactics offers engaging and challenging gameplay that has players engage enemies in strategic fights across grid-based battlefields. There are multiple heroes to choose from and hundreds of cards to build the best deck for every situation. 

Dark corruption 

Shuffle Tactics takes place in the Kingdom of Asteria, which is suffering from corruption by the mysterious Glimmer Curse released upon the land by the evil King Ogma. Its last hope lies with a handful of heroes who will embark on a perilous mission along with their loyal companions to put a stop to the tyranny and chaos once and for all. 

Choose from three hero classes with unique skills and abilities, and set out to explore a vast land divided into six regions. You can also pick from 10 unique sidekicks to accompany you and help during battle as you face over 20 enemy types and 10 tough bosses as the Corrupted Dwellers. Collect 300 hero cards and 150 sidekick cards to help create the best deck for every encounter. 

Roguelike elements keep things feeling fresh and different every run, and there's meta-progression through unique perks and bonuses that transform the experience in various ways. On another note, runs can be quite long, so this is not an ideal choice for quick play sessions. Also, Shuffle Tactics still needs to work on various aspects of the gameplay, including balancing issues and cumbersome camera controls. 

Slick and promising 

Overall, Shuffle Tactics is a solid tactical roguelike adventure with slick pixel visuals and engaging combat. The different classes and hundreds of collectible cards ensure you can build a deck that suits your play style. There are also plenty of biomes to explore and enemy types that offer good variety to the experience. Despite the issues mentioned above, this is definitely worth a try.
