HUNGER is a multiplayer action game set in bleak Napoleonic Europe, a plagued land surrounded by zombies that you need to fight off. Developed by GOOD FUN CORPORATION, it’s a gritty take on the extraction shooter subgenre that’s similar to GTFO.  

HUNGER is a masterful blend of first-person shooter, slasher, RPG, and horror gameplay. In this game, players take on the role of a survivor embarking on a journey either alone or with allies  — featuring PvPvE gameplay. Your objective quest consists of clearing 100 levels. You can unlock new abilities, weapons, and gear as you progress.

HUNGER’s plot revolves around a war-torn Europe struck by a bacterial infection, which has turned its people into zombies looking for their prey. As a player, your mission is to bring a new order to the plague-ridden land. To do this successfully, you can use various weapons like rifles, pistols, and grenades, and do hand-to-hand combat with axes, swords, and maces.  

This horror game employs RPG elements that include a set of unlockable passive, tactical, and ultimate abilities. For example, players can build their character to specialize in ranged combat by quickening their reload speed. You can also do this by increasing your weapon control. If you choose a support role, you can forego lethal tactics and focus on support skills in Repair Healing.  

In this shooter game, after successfully surviving a match, you can return to Chateau — the game’s home base. Here, players can create new items, access new orders, progress their character’s professions, and more. With its intense and brutal combat, you can be assured that you’re well-equipped for your adventures. However, there’s not a lot that’s new about its gameplay mechanics that would make it stand out among other similar games.
