Ultimate Zombie Defense 2 is an action game developed and published by Terror Dog Studio. It’s a four-player co-op title, where you and your teammates defend against hordes of zombies. It takes a different approach from the first Ultimate Zombie Defense, with the second game now being in first-person perspective.

Ultimate Zombie Defense 2 is set in a modern-day European city, with the streets infested with swarms of undead that kill every living thing in their path. As one of the brave soldiers left, you are tasked with fighting back and exterminating these pesky zombies. The second game introduces new types of zombies, as well as returning ones; however, this time, they’re larger in number, smarter, and deadlier.

To counter these more intelligent creatures, you can browse and purchase your favorite firearms at the weapons shop. The shop contains a large selection of arsenal, and you can buy in between waves using hard-earned cash from killing zombies. Weapons are also customizable with attachments to enhance the power of your guns. Although the gunplay could use some work, it’s noticeably clunky and doesn’t feel precise and accurate.

One of the prominent features of the game is the base-building mechanics that allow you to set up military-grade defenses such as turrets, mines, and barbed wire to keep the undead at bay. This should also help you take down powerful bosses, since you can prepare ahead before they are summoned. However, placing defenses requires careful planning, as you might end up being a victim of your own traps.

Overall, Ultimate Zombie Defense 2 is a solid zombie-killing game with a simple formula: survive waves, buy weapons, and build defenses. The gameplay loop is shallow, but addictively fun to dive into. It’s also heart-pumping to rock out to the in-game metal music playing in the background while killing undead, which is very similar to Killing Floor 2, another wave-based shooter game with the same elements.
