Archetype and the Four Winds of Hell is an action game designed for PC. Developed by Serf of Cinder, this platformer title takes players on a Metroidvania journey where they assume the role of a legendary elemental virtuoso who must harness the four elements and eliminate dwellers of hell.  

Rendered in pixel graphics, Archetype and the Four Winds of Hell delivers an adventure-filled playthrough, blending a non-linear story with shooter mechanics to create a distinctive experience for players. The game emphasizes combat-based gameplay, focusing on the PvE aspect and exploring themes of magic, demons, and otherworldly realms. 

Stop the demonic threat 

In Archetype and the Four Winds of Hell, one must master the four elements — water, earth, air, and fire. As a mysterious portal emerges from nowhere, spitting out hordes of monsters and setting the world in chaos, only the Archetype, the destined master of the four elements, can put a stop to the hellish threat and the demonic invasion of the world. 

With 14 kinds of adversaries that offer a variety of challenges, users must utilize proper positioning and take advantage of all the abilities that the Archetype possesses, especially since the game features a permanent death mechanic. However, once you meet your demise, it allows you to rotate through the four elements for the starting line, providing you with dynamic skills with each run.  

About 12 elemental abilities allow a dynamic combination of skills to execute deadly combos in this non-linear, level-designed title. In addition, the adventure in this demon-filled expanse is accompanied by an original soundtrack that mixes SNES-style chiptunes and heavy metal production to set the tone of the scenes. Once you have completed the game, a built-in item randomizer gets unlocked.
