Valkyrie Elysium is a premium action game for PC developed by Square Enix. It's the latest entry in the popular Valkyrie Profile series of JRPGs. In it, players are the emissaries of redemption, the Valkyries, who have been sent by the All-Father to save the world from impending doom.

Compared to Valkyrie Profile and other JRPGs like Octopath Traveler or Bravely Default II, Valkyrie Elysium serves up fast and engaging combat in real-time that focuses on speed and the ability to perform combos. Players can look forward to experiencing it when it releases on November 12, 2022.

Ragnarok has come

The Valkyrie Profile series has been around for quite some time now and has made a name for itself with its distinct dark fantasy setting and themes that draw heavy inspiration from Norse mythology. Valkyrie Elysium is the latest entry to the franchise that pays homage to the same source but makes some key changes to the core experience that you might be surprised with.

Aside from the upgrades to graphical fidelity, this latest game still features the same dark and muted color palette to complement its dark fantasy world. Combat is no longer turn-based and now transpires in real-time. This facilitates some rather impressive attacks in quick succession with the new Soul Chain System. Build up momentum and fill your Arts Gauge quickly to be able to deal high damage with your Divine Arts.

What's more, you can summon Einherjar, a warrior spirit that grants you elemental bonuses to give you an edge in battle.
