Time Wasters is an early access action game from Proton Studio that takes players into the far reaches of space, where they will have to go up against hordes of enemies while searching for Time and Space cubes. These cubes will allow you to manipulate timelines and create new planets.

By making use of roguelite gameplay elements, Time Wasters allows players to grow stronger each time they fail a wave. In this shooting game, you will have to avoid getting hit by blasters while trying to shoot at enemy fleets and larger ships, much like in Space Invaders.

Choose your captain

Players can look forward to bright and vivid battle sequences in Time Wasters with its use of both 2D and 3D graphics. In this space-themed shooter, you can choose from among five captains, each with their own weapons and specializations. These captains also have unique support upgrades that you can use to strengthen your spacecraft and take down stronger enemies.

Similar to other roguelite titles, this game presents players with a challenge that progressively increases in difficulty as you continue to complete rounds or waves. Don’t worry if you happen to lose even during the latter waves, since you can revive and try your hand at defeating the same enemies as many times as you’d like. Each wave you lose also allows you to sharpen your strategizing skills, as well.

For an additional challenge, players can also try completing all the available achievements within the game. However, it’s important to note that there is only one map available, so the setting can feel a bit stagnant and repetitive, especially when you’ve been playing for extended periods. However, as the game is still currently under development, more locations can still be in the works.
