Icy tundra 

The Northern Path takes place during the year 1823 in Northern Yukatia and follows a young naval officer named Nikolai Trofimov. He is on a quest to find his missing father, and to do so, he will brave the icy wilderness of the mythical Sannikov Land. He will need to face all kinds of unknown dangers and survive the journey using the resources he can scavenge. 

Yukatia has four distinct regions to explore and is teeming with various fauna and wildlife to sustain you if you are skillful enough to harvest and hunt them. You have your trusty sled and canine companions to help you traverse and navigate the land. Meet and help the locals with their problems, gather clues about your father's disappearance, and know more about the heritage of your family name. 

The land is also filled with all sorts of legendary stories that blur the lines between real and myth, and you will slowly come to realize that they have a mysterious connection to your family history.
