The Maverick Hunter Chronicles is a free action game by SirOblivion. It is a first-person shooter and sci-fi title inspired by the classic Doom and Mega Man titles. It’s a total DOOM conversion featuring a new story set in the plot of the first Mega Man X series entry, with full custom sprites and textures for a distinct visual presentation and feel. 

First day on the job 

The Maverick Hunter Chronicles takes place in the Mega Man universe, with the gameplay and presentation of the classic Doom. It’s your first day as a Maverick Hunter, and it’s already a trial by fire, as you face the forces of the dastardly Sigma. Experience combat in a new, more immersive first-person perspective, facing a wide variety of enemies using an equally expansive arsenal of weapons. 

Blast your way through more than 10 unique levels featuring custom sprites and textures specially made for this game. The same treatment was applied to the sound effects and original MIDI themes to achieve a retro anime feel. Do note, though, that the game is still in active development, so there are plenty of changes and fixes yet to be made in future updates.
