The Awakened Avenger is a premium action game for PC developed by Forest Cats Studio. It is a top-down roguelike shooter where players will assume the role of a zombie who is out to get revenge on the nefarious research laboratory that put it through torture and suffering with their experiments.

Undead avenger 

In The Awakened Avenger, you play Jack, who unwittingly takes part in an illegal research experiment that exposes you to a zombie virus. Instead of dying, you miraculously survive the ordeal and gain inhuman powers and abilities. You’ll now begin your undead rampage to get revenge on those responsible and put an end to these nefarious experiments once and for all. 

Pick from diverse character classes based on real-world professions, like a tailor, an engineer, or even a gravedigger, comprising the poor victims of the experiment. Each one boasts a unique play style, and combining their abilities with the roguelike upgrades allows for all kinds of different builds. You also get to pick up various prop items and weapons to complement how you play. 

The main campaign has you blast your way through areas of the research laboratory, facing different enemy types and situations that require different tactics. Alternatively, you can test your skills and how long you can last in survival mode. Now, while the combat is fun and engaging, there’s really not much to experience in this shooter game, so it could use more content to keep things fresh and interesting.
