SD Gundam Capsule Fighter Online is a third-person shooter created by Softmax and OGPlanet. It features iconic robots from the anime series Gundam with mobile suits depicted in cute, super-deformed appearances. In this action game, players battle in PVP matches and collect more Gundam from capsules. 

How Did Gundam Reach the West?

Gundam popularized the Real Robot genre by invoking realistic topics like technology, war, and politics. There are no monsters of the week, classical good-vs-evil formula, and outlandish premise in this series. Characters died permanently, and the protagonist grew as the war went on. The Gundam franchise received several sequels, side-stories, original video animations, novelizations, and spin-offs. Players can acquire mobile suits thru, either rental, drawing from capsules, or mixing. Mixing requires a mixing plan, a key mobile suit, and scrap component suits. Players can then customize their mobile suits, as well as mobile suit rooms, with paints and stickers. They can even install special skills that can help them in battles.

The game offers action-packed and collaborative co-op missions, quests, and PVP matches. There are also more than 50 maps which the players can explore and do battles in. The co-op missions allow four players to team-up while the PVP matches can host up to 12 players. Winning battles give rewards, such as in-game currencies, experience points, and extra items. The game also comes with a ranking and rock-paper-scissors system. On the rock-paper-scissors system, on the other hand, the game categorizes each mobile suit as rock, paper, and scissors. Rocks are melee fighters while papers are long-ranged shooters. Finally, the Scissors are mobile suits that can fare well in both aspects.
