A chilling survival horror throwback

PHASE ZERO is an action game that plunges players into the eerie, snow-blanket town of Flint Peak, where a horrifying illness has twisted the townsfolk into grotesque monsters. With only two survivors and limited resources, your mission is simple yet daunting: solve puzzles, survive, and escape before dawn

A gruesome homage to the PSX era

PHASE ZERO revives classic survival horror with fixed camera angles, prerendered backgrounds, and a slow-burn narrative told in episodic chapters. Each section follows either Mary, a rookie reporter, or Guy, a wounded engineer, as they navigate flesh-ridden alleyways and collapsing buildings. It captures the tension of 90s horror titles while modernizing gameplay.

From mutated creatures slithering through abandoned streets to tissue-infested interiors that ooze dread, it builds a haunting atmosphere. The puzzles are clever and the story progression maintains suspense. It's a smart blend of nostalgia and innovation that rewards careful exploration. However, only a free demo is available in the meantime and it doesn't support 32-bit systems.

A worthy survival horror revival

PHASE ZERO is a gripping, grotesque, and atmospheric return to survival horror's roots. It respects its inspirations while carving its own terrifying path. If you crave slow-burning fear and retro charm with a modern edge, Flint Peak is ready to welcome you—if you survive the night.
