MapleStory 2 is a highly anticipated sequel to MapleStory that retains the original game’s charm and adds 3D to the mix. While the basic combat is like other 3D MMORPGs, MapleStory 2 stands out for its emphasis on non-combative elements, such as mini games, housing and music. The setting in this version is identical to the original, but the narrative is set before the original’s plot. This technically makes the game a prequel. The many monsters and regions should be familiar to fans of the original. However, the new features may not be, which include player housing, player mode dungeons, and destructible terrain.
