Mr. Pepper - Animal Farm is a premium game utility for PCs developed by Rejected Games. It is a DLC for the popular base-building simulator, Mr. Pepper. This new addition will task players with revitalizing a rundown farm and bringing it back to life, all while investigating the secrets hidden beneath its structures.

Similar to the core game and others in the genre like Fallout Shelter, Mr. Pepper - Animal Farm leans heavily on the base management aspect of its gameplay. All that, while diving into the conspiracy-driven narrative and secrets that lie underneath the surface.

A new mission

Mr. Pepper is a base-building survival simulator with bits of sci-fi themes, political agendas, and alien conspiracies, all making for a curious and intriguing story. It has players prepare for the threat of nuclear war by building an underground shelter, all while avoiding the ever-peering eyes of The Agency. In comes the Mr. Pepper - Animal Farm DLC to build on the core gameplay and introduce a new storyline.

In this DLC, you will be working with The Agency, given a special assignment of restoring the Murricaville Farm back to shape. It introduces three new locations to explore, namely the aforementioned farm, a lake, and a mysterious crop labyrinth. You'll be breeding animals and going fishing to derive new food sources and come up with all kinds of new recipes to try.

Then there's your "real" objective in all of this, which is to investigate reports of mysterious abductions and suspicions of mind control being conducted on some individuals. As for playing it, though, this DLC doesn't add anything revolutionary to the gameplay that you haven't experienced before. The new storyline is rather bland and other aspects like fishing and navigating crop mazes end up being grindy and tedious.

Not much difference

All in all, if you're going into the Mr. Pepper - Animal DLC expecting something new gameplay-wise, you'll be disappointed as it sadly underdelivers. Aside from the animal breeding aspect, the rest of this content pack is bland and uninteresting. You can still check it out, maybe at a discounted price. Otherwise, this is a release that you can simply skip and not miss much.
