LUCID is a premium action game for PC developed by The Matte Black Studio. It is a 2D platforming adventure that is set in a fantasy world governed by the powers of crystals. In it, players will navigate a place torn by a devastating calamity to fulfill a promise. 

Comparable to games like Ori and the Will of the Wisps and Somber Echoes, LUCID offers fluid gameplay that emphasizes speed and precision during battle encounters and overcoming various platforming challenges and puzzles. It also boasts a vast open world to explore and discover all kinds of secrets and treasures. 

Crystalline world 

LUCID is a Metroidvania action-platformer adventure in the world of crystals called Aedyn. An epic battle between the Lucid Giant and a heavenly beast known as Troika resulted in the Great Fall. You play as Oenn, an aspiring member of the Sentinal Order, sent on a mission to revive the fallen giant and help restore order to the world once more. 

Your perilous mission will take you to multiple biomes with different paths to take and an assortment of monsters to face. Combat revolves around the Crystal Arts, a fighting style that lets you wield various types of weapons with different play styles. They are complemented by your battle Bracers which lets you equip Talismans you find can throughout your adventure that provide bonus effects and synergies. 

You'll meet and interact with a colorful cast of characters, both fellow Sentinels and residents of Aedyn with unique stories to tell, and help to bring balance back to their lives. Now, as of this writing. LUCID is not yet available and there is no news of a specific release date either. If you're interested in checking it out, you will have to wait a while longer. 

Dreamlike adventure in a lucid world 

Overall, if you're a fan of Metroidvania-like games and precision platformers that provide a nice challenge, LUCID is an intriguing title worth checking out. From its beautiful dreamlike visuals to its slick combat and open-world exploration, there is plenty to like and experience in this adventure.
