Light Bearers is a free-to-play action game for PC made by Fat Bomb Studios. It's an online multiplayer hide-and-seek title that has players take control of Light Bears as they try to hide and escape from the clutches of the sinister Shadow out to get them.

Light Bearers has a similar concept to that of Little Nightmares, but with the look and presentation more akin to neon-soaked games like Hyper Jam. While available as a free game, players can purchase the Full Game version to unlock everything and experience all it has to offer.

How do I play it?

Light Bearers is a unique round-based online multiplayer hide-and-seek game. It is played in the first-person perspective and with groups of 2 teams and features interchangeable roles. In each round, your team can take on the role of either Light Bearers or Shadow Bearers. Depending on which one you end up being, there will be objectives that you need to complete in order to win.

As a Light Bear, your main goal is to avoid getting infected and escape through the Light Pool. On the other hand, your task as a Shadow Bear is to infect all enemies and convert them to your side to win. You have skills to help you achieve your objectives, which are Dash and Wall Creation, respectively. Additionally, there are hiding spots and teleportation points to add to the action.

One thing to note before you give it a try is that while Light Bearers is free-to-play, you will need to purchase the Full Game version in order to unlock more in the game, including more Shadows characters and various cosmetic items used for customization. You will also be eligible to receive all future updates and content that will become available for it moving forward.

Interesting take on a popular children's game

At first blush, Light Bearer's premises did not seem like it would work, but after trying it out, it actually does and is a rather unique and clever idea for a game. It takes a popular children's game and turns it into something competitive and one that many people will enjoy and have fun playing. Highly recommended.
