Precision platformer with an aging protagonist

Gold for Retirement is a premium action PC game from developer Underwater Dev-Depths, and is a 2D retro precision platforming adventure following the escapades of a veteran knight. He will brave the dangers of mysterious dungeons and overcome various obstacles in search of gold treasure that will enable him to retire in comfort and ease.

Retirement fund

In the game, you play as a veteran knight who is drawn to the undeniable allure of gold treasure and jumps back into the fold one last time to take on dangerous dungeons in an effort to secure Gold for Retirement. Armed with a magical helmet that lets you momentarily float and glide, overcome various obstacles and traps across unique levels as you make your way to the coveted prize.

Adding to the challenge and depth, you will also encounter monsters and hostile creatures along the way, which you need to defeat with your trusty sword in hand. Every attempt will also be timed, encouraging you to outdo your previous times and go on a speedrun of sorts. Now, as is the case with these types of games, the steep difficulty will pose a challenge for a lot of players, some of whom might find it too hard.

One last score

As a precision platformer, Gold for Retirement is a solid choice with challenging gameplay and retro graphics. What makes it more interesting is the premise of an aging adventurer looking for one last score to secure his retirement. It’s a small detail, but it's enough to give it a unique charm that fans of the genre will find humorous and endearing. Check it out now.
