Here, you'll be in charge of a squad or a vehicle as you complete your objective of overrunning checkpoints or controlling specific areas longer than the opponent. The game offers a rudimentary leveling system, with your squad's prowess and quality improving as you play along.

The game allows you to switch between first-person or third-person POV. It also offers various game modes, like 15v15 and 30v30. You can even participate in a large-scale battle. Like AAA WWII titles such as Call of Duty WWII, this game will have more than 100 players in each match. This number includes the AI squads that you’ll control. To make it realistic, the battles aren’t equal. Some will be one-sided, especially those involving tanks. While this might be historically realistic, players may find this aspect unengaging.

The app's striving for realism doesn't end with its gameplay variations. Another noteworthy feature is its graphical presentation. The battles and gunplay are hellish, with bullets pinging off walls or zipping past the players' heads. Moreover, it only takes one bullet to end a soldier, which will force you to pick another member from your squad. Smoke also billows from tanks, and sunlight bleeds through lines of trees. 

A promising game

There are various military war games on the market, and Enlisted is just one of them. Concept-wise, what it offers is something that has been done before. However, it has a few gameplay innovations that make it stand out from the rest of the pack. Unfortunately, it is still in the development stages, and there are still some optimization issues and limitations that may hinder players from fully enjoying the game. Nevertheless, it is a promising offering for world war fanatics.
