Blood Running is a premium action game for PC by developer Dead Unicorn. It is an isometric extraction shooter featuring pixel graphics and is set in a futuristic post-apocalyptic world. In it, players will go on expeditions into various locations in search of resources and loot, while dealing with dangers along the way. 

Much like ZERO Sievert or Project Zomboid, Blood Running combines open-world exploration with survival mechanics wherein each run will have a big impact on survivability. It will test players and how well they can cope and adapt when faced with different encounters and situations. 

Resource and loot run 

Blood Running takes place in a post-apocalyptic wasteland shaped and twisted by years of anarchy and discontent. Humanity has withdrawn into isolated outposts and relies on Blood Runs to keep the economy and the people alive. Those who participate in these perilous raids are referred to as Blood Runners. You play as one of them, and you risk it all for the prospect of finding precious loot and resources. 

You reside within Outpost 072 and you'll meet and interact with various characters in between your runs, taking on quests, hearing stories, and uncovering secrets about the place you call home. Blood Running features a randomly generated world, so no two runs will feel the same. Collect over 200 items for crafting, upgrading your base, and trading with merchants. Navigate multiple maps and survive long enough to reveal their secrets. 

The game also boasts extensive gun modding that allows you to customize your modular weapons in all kinds of ways. You can prioritize power and precision or a spray-and-pray approach while accounting for recoil and reload times as you find a play style that suits you. Before diving in, note that Blood Running is still in Early Access, so it's not complete yet and development is ongoing.

All in all, Blood Running is a solid entry to the burgeoning extraction shooter sub-genre, offering thrilling and unpredictable runs. There are various maps to explore, hundreds of items to loot, and a weapon customization system that allows for all kinds of play styles. Hopefully, the full game will be completed soon.
