Blaster Master Zero is an action game by INTI CREATES CO., LTD. The game is a reboot of the classic NES game Blaster Master by Sunsoft. It improves the older game by showcasing Metroidvania exploration, upgrades collection and incorporating anime visuals in 8-bit style. The game has a more robust story compared to the original game. Players assume the role of young robotics genius Jason Frudnick. Jason finds an unusual frog named Fred and the armored tank SOPHIA III. Along the way, he will meet the tank’s original pilot Eve. The trio must fight the Mutants who once tried to conquer Earth. The game is divided into top-down and side-scrolling sections. Players must explore caverns and underworld biomes, as well as defeat bosses to progress farther. They can collect power-ups and upgrades to strengthen both Jason and Sophia III. There are 2 available endings depending on how many upgrades players have acquired.
