Altered Alma is a premium action game for PC developed by 2Awesome Studio. It is a 2D Metroidvania-style side-scrolling adventure featuring retro pixel graphics and is set in a futuristic cyberpunk world. In it, players will take on criminal gangs and bosses who litter the streets and corrupt their city. 

Combining the fast-paced action of a game, such as Katana Zero with a story-driven experience like Shadows of Doubt, Altered Alma is both engaging and highly relatable with the deep character interactions that players can have. They can try out the demo version to get a preview. 

Deeply altered 

Altered Alma takes place in a futuristic cyberpunk city of Neo Barcelona that has been corrupted by rampant criminal gangs and diabolical kingpins. You play Jack, the game's main protagonist on a quest to rid this megalopolis of its corruption. Together with his trusty spaceship, you'll face a variety of enemies, from cyborgs to lizard men, and multiple bosses to root out the evil once and for all. 

There are multiple missions to take on in Altered Alma, and your ship, The Esperanza, will serve as your base of operations. Recruit crew members and make key upgrades to unlock new abilities and perks. Combat in the game is fast and fluid, and lets you customize your move sets with different attacks and abilities used for mobility and traversal. 

It also boasts a large open map to explore and discover different routes to reach your goal and collect upgrades to help deal with tougher and tougher opponents. Reconnect with old friends and make new ones, some of which can even lead to a romantic relationship. On another note, the full game is not out yet and there is no exact release date either.

All in all, Altered Alma offers a compelling experience with its fast and fluid combat, deep narrative, and meaningful character interactions on the backdrop of a dark and corrupted cyberpunk city. The charming graphics and large explorable map just add to the game's appeal. Hopefully, more news and updates will come out sooner rather than later. Keep this on your radar.
