Sail Away
Experience realistic sailing in a variety of different weather conditions, on a beautifully rendered ocean. See VR used to its potential as you skim along the water in this breathtaking simulator.
Whether or not VRSailing qualifies as a game is a bit debatable. You can manoeuvre your boat with a fairly simple control scheme, however there are no objectives or fail states. To that end, it is basically the oceanic equivalent of a walking simulator. The boat looks good, however the real star of the show is the ocean itself. The sea looks as realistic as any video game ocean out there. And with three different weather conditions to sail in, you really get to experience that beautiful ocean in all its glory. And if that wasn't enough, the sound of ocean will have you feeling the spray on your virtual face in no time at all. If you're looking for a casual sailing experience with your virtual reality headset, you can't do much better than VRSailing.
And now we come to the kicker. VRSailing is free. Admittedly, it's barely more than a tech demo when you get right down to it, but it's a very well done tech demo, and it will cost you nothing to try it out.
