Vacate the Room is a virtual reality indie entry into the escape the room adventure genre.

What do you do?

Like all escape the room style games, the player finds themselves in a room, unable to get out. The room is full of items to interact with, and by using a combination of trial and error, wit and problem-solving you finally find a way to escape the room. What sets Vacate the Room apart is its use of VR technology and graphics to create a truly immersive experience. Players will have to crouch down, move about and reach up high to explore their virtual prison and interact with switches, number pads and clues in order to work out how to find their freedom.

How hard is it?

While some puzzle games pride themselves on being nigh-on impossible to complete, Vacate the Room is more about enjoying yourself and experiencing the story that the developers are trying to tell. The standard mode is not going to challenge veterans of the genre, but it will serve as a good introduction to those new to it. An ‘Ex’ mode also exists, which switches up the order of problems and steps you need to take from the standard mode for added challenge.
