VARLET’s story begins at Kousei Academy, a place filled with mystery and rumors. The protagonist stumbles into a strange dimension called the Glitch, where monsters replace students, forcing him to fight alongside friends to protect the school. These dual settings—ordinary school life and surreal danger—create a gripping contrast that fuels the narrative. 

Gameplay enhances this duality with its engaging systems. As a member of the Student Support Services, you help classmates through personal struggles, deepening bonds and facing consequences for your choices. Combat, meanwhile, employs the Timeline Command system, letting you fight as either a supportive “Leader” or a dominant “Ruler”. However, its pacing may feel uneven, with long stretches of dialogue and character interactions that sometimes overshadow the action.
