Underwater is an atmospheric horror game set in a deep sea prison. It is a story-rich experience, with the narrative playing a large part in the game. Become a prisoner below the waves

Underwater sees the player take on the role of an unknown, faceless prisoner who finds themselves in a deep-sea prison, with a lack of memories about who they are and how they got there. They are not alone down there. The player will need to solve puzzles and keep moving in order to avoid becoming dinner to one of the dangerous mutants that are down there with them.

First-person exploration

The game takes place from a first-person perspective, and the setting is quite claustrophobic, thanks to a lack of lighting in the underwater prison. The player does have a torch, but it only serves to illuminate a small area. The player is forced to explore as part of the game’s quest, all but ensuring they will encounter hostile mutants along the way.

A somewhat generic horror game

While Underwater looks good from a visual standpoint, it doesn’t do much to set itself apart from the many other horror games available in this niche. Many players report that it takes roughly 30 minutes to complete.
