UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH Exe:Late is a premium 2D action game where players engage in intense battles against monstrous entities, Voids, and other powerful beings known as In-births. As the inaugural title in the Under Night In-Birth series, it captivates players with its fluid and fast-paced combat. The storyline follows the sword-wielding boy, Hyde, and Linne, the Night Blade Princess. 

It's crucial to differentiate between UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH Exe:Late and UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH Exe:Late[cl-r]. While both are part of the series’ first game, Exe:Late is the initial release while Exe:Late[cl-r] is the enhanced, final version.

Dynamic gameplay and immersive storytelling

In a mythical realm, an ancient organization known as the "Night Blade," protects the domain during the "Hollow Night," a time when monstrous beings known as Voids appear to feed on mysterious energy. Those unfortunate souls consumed by the Voids face an artificial death, after which they reawaken as beings called "In-births," endowed with supernatural powers known as "EXS." Linne, Princess of the Night Blade, investigates a rise in Voids and In-births. 

Simultaneously, Hyde, a young boy armed with the legendary sword of destiny, is keenly following Linne and is determined to uncover her true identity and mission. The expansive game universe allows players to select from a diverse roster of unique characters and engage in thrilling battles across the dangerous terrains of the Hollow Night. The gameplay features classic anime fighter controls, enhanced by powerful combos and high-energy exchanges. 

Engagement extends beyond the single-player setup, as players can dive into the "NETWORK MODE" to challenge opponents worldwide. This mode offers "RANK MATCH" and "PLAYER MATCH" options, accompanied by competitive leaderboard rankings. These modes are backed by leaderboard rankings that track player performance, inviting fierce competition and fostering a dynamic online community.
