Demo for a rhythm game called UNBEATABLE
UNBEATABLE [white label] is a free action title for PC by D-CELL GAMES. It is a story-driven rhythm game and serves as a Demo for the developer's upcoming game titled UNBEATABLE. This is the first episode of a standalone story that will lead up to the official release of the main game.
Similar to Friday Night Funkin and Muse Dash, UNBEATABLE [white label] features a vibrant art style boasting pastel colors and takes inspiration from anime and manga. All of this, paired with fast-paced and engaging combat and a charming story makes for a thrilling and memorable experience.
It all starts with a song
UNBEATABLE [white label] revolves around the story of Beat, a young woman, and vocalist of a band, whose practice she's running late for. The first song will serve as your tutorial to acquaint yourself with the controls and get a feel for the gameplay. It also serves as a chance to take in its aesthetics and distinct art style that is part-anime and scenes from a part-hazy dream.
From there, UNBEATABLE [white label] opens up and offers you 12 tracks to choose from across various music genres and levels of difficulty—a welcome change from other titles in the genre that stick to a single type of sound, to a fault. With each song, you get glimpses into Beat's past and all her struggles with learning to play, making music and discovering who she is as a person.
You will get to roam around and interact with various people including your bandmates. This aspect serves as a nice interlude from all the playing. As mentioned earlier, this is just a demo for a game that is yet to come out, with no specific date when it will be released either. Still, this charming preview is a great first impression and bodes well for what's to come.
Good vibes
All in all, UNBEATABLE [white label] is a great demo and preview of what you can expect when the full game comes out. It was also a nice touch to make it a standalone story and a self-contained experience, which didn't leave you hanging. The art and music are a vibe, and this is definitely a must-play if you're a fan of the genre.
