Dungeon crawler with a cyberpunk theme

Twilight Wars blends turn‑based tactics, roguelike dungeon crawling, and base management in a richly atmospheric cyberpunk setting. You helm a secret spy agency, rebuilt from the ashes of the Anonymous Arbitration Agency (Triple‑A), to dismantle megacorporations from the shadows.

Twilight Wars combines classic tactics gameplay with emotional storytelling, base management, and decision-making that affects both mission outcomes and character relationships. Inspired by titles like XCOM and Darkest Dungeon, it merges squad management, stress mechanics, and narrative branches to create a strategy experience with a surprising heart. Make your choices and strategies count as the consequences are permanent and dire.

Revive a secret organization

Twilight Wars is a game set during the late 21st century in a dystopian Cyberpunk world. The game puts players in control of a team of special agents as they revive a secret organization known as the Triple-A Agency. Players make their way through missions, selecting the right recruits for the job. While the core gameplay follows dungeon crawling and turn-based combat conventions, there is a permanent death mechanic to be mindful of.

Combat is highly strategic and tense, requiring careful use of positioning, skills, and environmental advantages. Outside missions, players must rebuild and maintain a base with medbays, training centers, and even revival pods. Stress and trauma from failed missions or harsh decisions affect agents long after the mission ends, adding a layer of persistence to the game’s difficulty. Every choice, whether during combat or in dialogue, can shape the narrative and open new story paths

Manage your team of agents

Away from the combat and dungeon-crawling elements, Twilight Wars places a strong focus on team management. So, how does Twilight Wars' gameplay work? The player can build a squad of agents with different character classes available, from hackers to medics. Their happiness, salary, and stress levels must also be carefully managed. It also features dungeon crawling, recruitment mechanics, team management, and lasting consequences that affect you in and out of the battlefield.

This strategy game stands out visually with a lo-fi, expressive art style that conveys both cyberpunk grit and cozy warmth. The design choices reflect its duality: neon-lit corridors and dystopian themes and even a pet cat that lives in your command center. Music and sound design are minimal yet atmospheric, enhancing tension during combat. The writing is notable for humanizing your operatives, highlighting their flaws. However, it has a steep difficulty curve

A strategy game with cyberpunk soul and tactical brains

Twilight Wars offers a compelling mix of turn-based combat, base management, and emotionally rich storytelling within a dark cyberpunk world. With its blend of tension, consequence-driven gameplay, and agent micromanagement, it creates a unique experience for fans of tactical RPGs. While the art style and narrative excel, players must navigate challenging systems and stress mechanics that might overwhelm more casual audiences.
