The Museum of ThroughView is a virtual reality experience that allows users to view famous works of art in both 2D and 3D. Unlike other VR museums, The Museum of ThroughView, it features known paintings and photographs that can be experienced in a whole new way. Background information on each piece is included throughout the museum and offers players an interesting look back at the history of each installment.

See famous works of art up close

With a total of 54 paintings and photographs to display, The Museum of ThroughView includes work from many famous artists, like Monet, Bierstadt and Rembrandt. For many users, this virtual museum provides the first or only chance to see these pieces up close and personal. And with the background information at their side, you’ll walk away knowing more about the piece then when you arrived.

A simple setting

The setting of The Museum of ThroughView itself offers users a minimalistic environment that doesn’t take away from the art. You’ll find yourself drawn to the paintings and photographs rather than distracted by the architecture. And with a special exhibition of photographs taken by Jacob Rils in New York circa 1900, you’ll definitely want to pay attention.
