Riot Ride is a premium action game for PC from developer Suronix. It is an isometric roguelike shooter featuring thrilling car combat and is set in a retro-futuristic world. In it, players will control a vehicle fitted with all kinds of weapons and fight off against waves of enemies looking to destroy them. 

Compared to other action roguelikes, such as Yet Another Zombie Survivors or The Spell Brigade, Riot Ride manages to stand out with its distinct car combat mechanics. There's a demo version available for new players to give a sense of what they can expect gameplay-wise. 

Tron-like vehicle combat mayhem 

Riot Ride is an action roguelike with a distinct vehicular combat theme for its gameplay and equally unique retro-futuristic Tron-like world. In the game, you drive around a weaponized car and you have been contracted to collect important blueprints and deliver them safely to their destination. However, various hacked vehicles will be coming at you to stop you from completing your mission. 

There are 36 procedurally generated levels to take on in Riot Ride, each one tougher than the last, and is host to eight different enemy types and nine boss fights that you will need to overcome to progress. You'll be able to scavenge over 15 unique weapons during your runs and purchase passive items from the shop to help increase your chances of survival and reach the end. 

As if it was not challenging enough, the game also features perma death, which means you only have one shot at completing a run and escaping your hellish simulation experience once and for all. Learn and adapt your play style to specific situations or enemies. That said, the whole experience will be too difficult for some players who are not used to these types of games.

Wild and chaotic ride 

Overall, if you're a fan of action roguelikes and are looking for something to try out, Riot Ride is an interesting title you can check out.
