Starcom: Unknown Space revolves around a mix of exploration, combat, and resource management, giving players the freedom to chart their own course through the stars. The game starts by thrusting you into an unknown region of space, tasking you with uncovering the secrets of this mysterious part of the galaxy. From here, you’re free to explore, encounter alien species, gather resources, upgrade your ship, and repeat. 

Combat is in real-time and action-packed, requiring players to skillfully maneuver their ships while engaging enemies. As you gather resources and complete missions, you’ll be able to enhance your ship’s weapons, shields, and engines. The RPG-style upgrade system gives you plenty of room to tailor your ship to your preferred playstyle. Despite the engaging combat mechanics, battles can become repetitive over time.
