Space Cycle is a premium strategy game for PC by developer Some Sugar Studio. It is a sci-fi tower defense battle set in space wherein multiple factions are waging against one another over precious resources. Players will be put in charge of defending against invaders looking to steal their faction's assets. 

Compared to games like Infinitode 2 and Rogue Tower, Space Cycle offers more accessible gameplay with simplified game mechanics and rounds ideal for quick game sessions. However, it still allows for diverse tactics with its wide variety of upgradeable units and roguelike elements to keep players engaged and alert.

Space defense force 

Space Cycles revolves around the struggles among warring factions fighting for control over precious resources that have slowly depleted in space. You play as a Space Defense Officer for one of these factions, and you've been given the task of managing randomly placed defenses against others who would try to invade your territory while preventing your energy reserves from running out. 

There are over 50 unit types available in Space Cycle for you to deploy as you set up your base for defense, each boasting different weapons effective against specific enemies. The core gameplay here revolves around a looping map, and your goal is to prevent enemies from making a full lap around to maintain your energy reserves before time runs out. 

What's more, you will also receive Special Supply crates that offer random perks and bonuses to aid you in your defense. Manage your resources and pick the right units for the job to succeed in your defense. Now, the randomized nature of the gameplay is unique, but it also results in a high difficulty curve that some players will find too hard.

Loop defense 

If you like tower defense games and are looking for something new to try, Space Cycle is one worth checking out. It's a simplified approach to the gameplay wherein you're more focused on selecting weapons and managing resources rather than tactical troop placement. It does come at the cost of increased difficulty but the premise is interesting enough to warrant a try.
