Skyrim Together Reborn is a game utility from The Together Team that allows you to play The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim in co-op mode. This mod aims to provide a true multiplayer experience for the action RPG. With it, you can play the game with up to eight players.

However, Skyrim Together Reborn can only be installed on Steam's Skyrim Special Edition version 1.6. Additionally, the developers do not advise players to use the mod pack that goes with it. Nonetheless, there is a server setting you can use if you really want to use mods. 

What is Skyrim Together Reborn?

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is the fifth main installment in the Elder Scrolls series. Like all the games in the franchise, it received critical acclaim and garnered worldwide popularity. However, despite all the DLCs and remastered editions released for it, the game remained strictly single-player. Thankfully, the modding community has come up with ways to play the game with friends. One of those is Skyrim Together Reborn.

As mentioned, the mod allows you to play Skyrim with other players. It is not strictly an MMO. Rather, the developers aim to create a co-op experience for up to eight players. It also made alterations to make the game truly multiplayer. For one, dialogues are synchronized by the party leader. Whenever the leader talks to an NPC or makes dialogue choices, the others will see and hear it.

Note, however, that the default difficulty setting is Expert. Moreover, the mod won't load a save file upon death. Instead, you will respawn nearby. If you die in a dungeon or interior, you will respawn at the start of it. PvP is also disabled by default, although you can toggle it on a server setting. Also, keep in mind that the mod only works on Steam's Skyrim Special Edition.

Should you play it?

If you are a fan of Skyrim, then Skyrim Together Reborn is your chance to play it with your friends. The mod provides a multiplayer experience for the popular game by allowing you to play it co-op. It also offers various enhancements to make it exciting for you and your friends. However, there are a few limitations to it that can be a deal-breaker for some players.
