Sir Truck is a free action game and the first solo endeavor from Luke Muscat. Before designing Sir Truck, Muscat worked as lead designer for Halfbrick on the mobile games Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride.

Sir Truck is played in a Battle Royale-style environment where players are tasked with surviving as long as possible, despite constant threats from other vehicles. Shoot at enemies and collect points to access new perks, like weapons, health, and vehicle upgrades.

Outrun your enemies

Loosely based on the game Vampire Survivors, in which players must survive the onslaught of monsters for as long as possible, Sir Truck takes the concept and shifts gears to more modern graphics and away from the vintage 8-bit style.

As a prototype, Sir Truck isn’t fully realized but instead the framework for what promises to be an addictive game. Drive your truck around a seemingly deserted landscape and fight back against a mounting wave of vehicles. Fire bullets from your truck and collect points to upgrade your weapons, which include a sword, Gatling gun, blunderbuss, and mace.

Survival of the fittest

In Sir Truck, the longer you last, the more chances you have to increase your firepower and boost your health and stay alive longer. As you defeat enemy vehicles, you’ll also collect points that unlock more health units and increase the range of your magnet - the tool you use to collect points.

You can also unlock perks that improve your truck itself by defeating enemy vehicles. With the engine upgrade perk, for example, you can increase the max speed of your vehicle and outrun enemy vehicles quicker.

A unique spin on leveling up

Something that Sir Truck does to subvert typical gaming constructs is offer perks that aren’t entirely in your favor. By selecting “cursed” perks, you’ll get a small upgrade in exchange for a different perk for your enemy. This keeps the game competitive and ensures you’re always challenged no matter how far you progress.
