You can follow the main quest missions, or you can run off in any direction and level up by fighting monsters. You can follow the hundreds of side quests, from collecting fragments of paper to taking down a killer dragon. There is an endless supply of stuff to collect. Plus, the stuff you collect is occasionally fantastic, it is not all junk or cheaply resold stuff. The leveling system is brilliant, especially when you learn how to upgrade your weapons and armour at the blacksmith. Sacred 2 Gold isn’t for everybody, but if you like collecting, sandbox exploring and leveling up, then it is the game for you. Don’t forget that you can click and hold to move, you don’t have to keep clicking. Also, there are hotkeys for things such as picking up all the junk in one area without running over it or clicking on it.
