Primal Planet takes place during the prehistoric ages and centers around a family of cave dwellers trying to survive in a land filled with vicious predatory dinosaurs. Venture into the wilderness with your wife and son as you face unknown dangers, from beasts to deadly pitfalls and traps that you'll encounter along the way. Gain experience from encounters to level up your skills and take on tougher challenges as you progress.

There will be multiple biomes to discover and explore in this game, each with its own distinct set of hostile enemies and platforming challenges. Collect resources to craft tools, weapons, and healing items. Along the way, you'll also meet and interact with different individuals who need help or can provide aid in return. Use your wits during your encounters and adapt as needed.

There's also support for two-player co-op gameplay that lets you call on a friend to play as a loyal Sinosauropteryx companion and fight alongside you. As you progress, you will come to know an intriguing sci-fi twist and its secrets. However, the in-game map can be hard to navigate, especially in later areas with layered paths. Additionally, players expecting deep customization or complex combat might find the upgrade system too simple.
