Ocean Rift is a VR undersea life simulator that lets you explore a range of different ocean environments and meet sea creatures ranging from whales, sharks and dolphins to extinct prehistoric species.

Under the sea

Ocean Rift isn't really a game: it's a virtual reality experience designed to let you enjoy exploring ocean environments and meeting the animals that live in them. It's divided into 12 real and imaginary environments, including swamps, reefs, shipwrecks and even the legendary city of Atlantis. The optional education mode is a good way to learn about the animals you encounter; switch it on to hear short narrated descriptions of information points. As an underwater virtual safari, Ocean Rift invites comparison to theBlu. It definitely comes out on top in terms of the variety of experiences on offer, but its graphics lack some of the refinement and realism shown in theBlu.

Fun and educational

Ocean Rift is a relaxing and interesting VR experience; you can swim around and observe marine life to destress after a busy day. It's also a great experience for children, who'll enjoy learning about marine life and environments. Graphically, it isn't quite as good as some competitors, but the differences are minor.
