Nobody Saves the World is a premium role-playing game for PC that comes from DrinkBox Studios. It's an action RPG dungeon crawler that has players take control of a formless character that is tasked with saving the world. It's able to transform into different forms with unique strengths and abilities.

From the same developer who made the popular Guacamelee series comes Nobody Saves the World, its first foray into the ARPG dungeon crawler genre. It features procedurally generated levels to explore, plenty of quests to take on, and unlockable powers and abilities to experiment with.

Choose your fighter

In Nobody Saves the World, an inexplicable calamity has struck the world, and its most powerful wizard, Nostramagus has gone missing. You play as a bland and featureless character named Nobody. Armed with the magic wand that the mage left behind, it's now up to you to save the world from the monsters that have spread everywhere and rid it of its fungus infestation.

Nostramagus' wand allows you to change into 15 different forms with unique abilities and powers. You can choose from a roster that ranges from your standard knight to a barbel-throwing bodybuilder, and even a horse with a mean back kick. What really makes Nobody Saves the World special is that all your abilities can be interchanged and used by any of your multiple forms in their own unique way.

What's more, there's an online co-op mode that's playable with a friend to help with difficult sections and level up your different forms. However, for a game that allows for a great deal of customization and variety, its way to switch between forms is not intuitive. Also, while playing with friends is great, it doesn't allow them to load up their own game profile and save files for progression.

Mix and match

All in all, you wouldn't think that Nobody Saves the World is its developer's first ARPG as it's a rather polished release. From the level design to the wealth of forms and abilities that you can mix and match, everything was done with such skill. If you've been hoping for something new from the makers of Gucamelee, you'll be glad to know that this game doesn't disappoint.
