Set in rolling hill country beautifully crafted in pixel art and hand-painted backgrounds, Milkmaid of the Milky Way is a classic point and click game down to its bones. The game tells the story of Ruth and her simple existence milking cows, churning butter and trying to eke out a living in the barren and lonely countryside. With a simple yet haunting soundtrack and a constantly rhyming dialogue, the single creator of Milkmaid of the Milky Way manges to create a laid back and engaging world. The game takes an unexpected turn when an unknown object appears from above and Ruth must face new challenges. While the game is short with a playtime of a few hours and doesn't pose a serious challenge to veteran point and click fans, it offers a rich story and a unique atmosphere which is sure to charm.

Milkmaid of the Milky Way is a short and sweet story told with passion and talent. It is not a long or challenging title, suited more towards fans of casual games, but is certainly above average.
