Pixelated mayhem across the multiverse

Mala Petaka is a fast-paced, retro-inspired 2D pixel art FPS built on the GZDoom engine. You play as Petaka, a furious amnesiac who travels through chaotic dimensions to reclaim his memories. With its colorful visuals, over-the-top action, and heavy chiptune soundtrack, this indie shooter brings nostalgic energy to modern gameplay.

Blast, brawl, and warp through worlds

Armed with an arsenal of weapons—each with alternate fire modes—you’ll face over 20 enemy types in Mala Petaka, from creepy one-eyed aliens to flying drones. The combat is relentless and rewarding, especially with power-ups like Time Freeze and God Mode. The Fist Barrage mechanic adds a brutal melee option that regenerates health and armor, keeping fights dynamic and fast.

Levels are accessed through a central hub, allowing players to choose their path through the multiverse. The NES-style graphics and chiptune soundtrack, created by Indonesian artists, give the game a distinct personality. One drawback is the occasional visual clutter during intense fights, which can make enemy tracking difficult—but it rarely disrupts the overall flow of combat.

A glorious throwback rampage

Mala Petaka is a high-energy FPS with a heart full of pixelated rage and charm. If you love classic Doom-style shooters with a creative twist and explosive pacing, this chaotic journey through alien-infested dimensions is absolutely worth your time.
