Lingering Souls is a free-to-download demo about Artyom visiting an apartment and keeping some of the items that once belonged to Polina, his now-deceased sister. However, Keep in mind that this game features flashing lights and effects, which pose health risks to photosensitive players.

Covering only the prologue of Lingering Souls, this photorealistic, atmospheric game begins with Artyom receiving a phone call from coroner Ivan, who informs the protagonist of his sister’s death in Apartment 71. In said apartment, the player roams around the place, examining items that pique their interest.

Examining most of the items, though, will trigger a short dialogue from Artyom. In addition to solving puzzles, you can obtain and use a camera to help you navigate around the apartment. Unfortunately, the game can stutter even if the graphics are set to the highest setting.

There are items to pick up and observe, puzzles to solve, and even a camera to use while exploring the apartment. If you’re not easily scared, this game is worth a spin.
