PENGUIN HOTEL 2 -Snake Penguin Ambition- is a quirky indie horror puzzle-adventure where you return to the eerie Penguin Hotel to rescue your child, kidnapped by penguins. Developed by lemorion_1224, the player is locked in a creepy hotel only using a special camera that’s more than just for taking pictures. 

In PENGUIN HOTEL 2 -Snake Penguin Ambition- you navigate the creepy corridors with your camera as it lets you copy, delete, and otherwise manipulate objects, which becomes crucial in solving puzzles and evading snake penguins. The atmosphere leans into mascot horror with dark humor. There’s also a free demo available. 

Dangers heightened, threats multiplied 

PENGUIN HOTEL 2 -Snake Penguin Ambition- increases horror and tension with a more aggressive confrontation in the form of the Snake Penguin and more. Players explore the spooky hotel using their cameras to solve puzzles, using it to copy and delete obstacles to overcome them, challenging players to solve them in time before darkness catches up. This mechanic forces players to observe the environment and plan ahead. 

Additionally, you can attack, evade, and interact with enemies to trap them or lure them away from you by cleverly maneuvering items to your advantage. The hotel is designed to be mysterious, with riddles and environmental puzzles that require ingenuity. Many puzzles depend on using the different camera modes to your advantage, for example copying a platform to reach higher areas or deleting barriers. However, there’s minimal horror. 

Visually, this horror strategy game is stylized in 3D or semi-3D environments with horror themed designs reminiscent of Poppy’s Playtime, its atmosphere and puzzle-heavy design are used to build tension. The penguin enemies have inventive designs which are more varied this time than in the first game. While the game requires minimal settings, the animation can be janky at times as well as buggy, which can disrupt the gameplay. 

A chilling yet quirky return to the Penguin Hotel 

PENGUIN HOTEL 2 -Snake Penguin Ambition- builds on its predecessor’s bizarre charm with clever camera-based puzzle mechanics and an eerie yet humorous tone. Its inventive gameplay and creepy atmosphere make it a standout indie horror experience. However, the limited scares, occasional bugs, and clunky animations can disrupt immersion. Despite these flaws, it’s an intriguing and creative sequel that fans of mascot horror will enjoy exploring.
