The game boasts a large map to explore that's divided into 36 procedurally generated areas across eight unique biomes. You'll need to forage and gather resources for food and crafting materials. Cooperate with fellow survivors to build bases and establish a clan wherein each member has a specific role to perform to ensure everyone's survival. Defend against invaders and conduct trades with outsiders for essential goods. 

Once you have stability, you can explore farther and try to expand your territory to unlock new sections of the map. What's more, you will need to ensure that your clan will have a legacy by forming relationships and having children who will continue the bloodline. Be aware that there is a moderate learning curve to be had at the start, but it is well worth the effort to learn to get the best experience you can.
