HUNTDOWN is a premium action game created by developer Easy Trigger Games. It is a 2D side-scrolling shooter set in the distant future wherein the streets are overrun by criminal gangs, with the cops scared to do anything. Players will be bounty hunters aiming to bring back peace and order.

Mixing the run-and-gun gameplay of Metal Slug X with the styling of Katana ZERO, HUNTDOWN makes for a fun and chaotic ride. Against an overwhelming force of criminals, players will shoot, smack, and blast their way through to rid the city of the corruption that has engulfed it.

A city, run amok

HUNTDOWN takes place in a distant cyberpunk future wherein the city has fallen to the hands of criminal gangs, and the cops are afraid to take action. In comes, a group of bounty hunters who have no qualms about getting dirty, and they're the last hope to finally stop the spread of corruption once and for all. Choose a fighter, and take to the streets in solo or two-player co-op.

Depending on your preferred playstyle, you can pick the firearms expert, Anna Conda, the multi-limbed half-robot John Sawyer, or the modified recon droid, Mow Man. Each one brings something unique and different to the gameplay, but all three will dish out plenty of chaos and destruction in their wake. There are 20 neon-soaked levels to push through that are home to the four gangs and their respective bosses you'll face.

Things can be very chaotic and can get out of hand quickly. Thankfully, HUNTDOWN you have access to an arsenal of weapons to help you in your crusade. Some of them include katanas, laser weapons, and various explosives. You can even use enemy weapons against them in satisfying poetic justice. However, despite everything it offers, the gameplay can get a little repetitive after a while.

Take out the trash

If you grew up playing the classic side-scrolling shooters from the 90s, HUNTDOWN is sure to scratch that retro game itch you might have. It features awesome pixel graphics, fun gameplay, and plenty of enemies to mow down. The same goes for the three bounty hunters you'll control and the plethora of weapons you can wield. This is recommended and pretty much a must-play.
