Human Resurgence is a free-to-play game mod for the strategy game Universe At War: Earth Assault. In this custom content from MODDEDWARFARE, you get to play as the Military, the armed wing of mankind that was helplessly torn between the factions in the original game. Serving as the sequel to the Human Resistance mod, it equips mankind with better capabilities to defend itself from aliens.

Having the Human Resurgence mod for your Earth Assault game adds an entirely new layer of gameplay. This makes it feel like a cross between Empire Earth and Terra Invicta, though on a smaller scale.

Play as the Military

The Human Resurgence mod for Universe At War: Earth Assault allows you to play as the Military, the human-based faction that strives to restore humanity and regain control of the planet Earth. This presents an interesting story for players to follow, especially since in the base game, humans, in general, weren’t capable of defending Earth when aliens descended upon them.

As such, you get to play as an all-new faction that comes with its own units, buildings, and technologies. You will notice that despite the updates, the Military remains underpowered compared to the Novus, the Hierarchy, and the Masari. This poses challenges for experienced players of the game but can be easily overwhelming for new players. Playing as the remnants of the human race, still, is an immersive underdog experience.

Of course, as a user-created mod, it doesn’t run as smoothly as the base game. Its optimization issues come in the form of lags and hangs, with the game crashing altogether in certain instances. Additionally, the mod doesn’t support all versions of the game, although a step-by-step guide in updating the base game and installing the add-on comes with the game package.

A playable add-on

Human Resurgence remains a good mod despite its minor inconveniences in terms of game optimization. Not only does it introduce new content, but it also does so in a way that provides a new layer in the story. By allowing you to play as the Military, you get to lead mankind’s fight to regain what they originally lost. However, it doesn’t support all versions of the game. Recommended.
