Home Sweet Home EP2 is a horror game following Home Sweet Home, which has become a hit in the indie-horror genre. The game has the same eerie hide-and-seek elements where players are out to find clues about the protagonist’s missing wife. The search takes you to a town seemingly possessed by demons, but that barely scratches the horror that Home Sweet Home EP2 has in store. 

The ultimate horror film experience

What makes Home Sweet Home EP2 unique, despite its cliche mechanics, is how it makes players feel like they just got accepted in their horror film. To add to that, this game features a lot of Thai folklore and supernatural beliefs that are refreshing, and of course, downright terrifying. You would not be meeting wailing white ladies who want justice for their untimely deaths, nor are there any creepy and abandoned asylums with wheelchairs moving on their own. In this game, you will be venturing into a town populated by possessed villagers who seem intent on making your life hell, as if it already isn’t.

There are also cult practices, creepy dreamscapes, and beyond-the-grave creatures that are out for blood. The very highlight of Home Sweet Home EP2 is the mysterious Thai Dancer, who supposedly abducted the protagonist’s wife. The question is, is she just a lonely ghost looking for a companion, or is she something far more sinister?

Get ready to fight! 

Unlike the first Home Sweet Home game, you are not entirely defenseless this time. If in the first game, all players can do is run and hide, here in EP2 you can now, at least, attempt to protect yourself from attacks. The game has included combat in its gameplay, so you can fight off enemies using whatever available weapon. This makes the game more exciting than ever, and you will get to have the chance to face your fears! You will not make any progress if you just continue hiding behind doors and under tables. This time around, you must defeat a ghost or a supernatural creature. 

Terrifying to the core

Home Sweet Home EP2 continues Tim’s quest to look for his wife, or what remains of her is he’s unlucky. Still, despite the lack of a new storyline, you cannot say that this game is any less interesting. There are new twists to the story, new enemies to face, unique cultural references, and, of course, the addition of combat! It's not just a horror game because it's now packed with action as well.
