The Gnomlings are hapless beings who march in a straight line, completely oblivious to any hazards that lie in their path. As the player, your job is to ensure that nothing bad happens to them. Sometimes this means building new paths for them to follow, other times it involves turning them to stone so that deathtraps have no effect on them. You can also teach the Gnomelings skills such as parachuting to avoid plummeting to their deaths, or traffic direction so that they can push their fellow Gnomelings along the right path. AS the game progresses, the hazards grow harsher and the puzzle-solving required grows increasingly crafty.
