Fotera is designed for users who want to improve photos quickly while keeping their original image files safe. The program follows a non-destructive editing approach: instead of overwriting the source photo, Fotera saves the editing settings separately and applies them again when the image is opened later.

The workflow is simple and practical. Users select a folder, browse photos through thumbnails, choose an image, adjust its appearance, and export the edited result when needed. Fotera includes common and advanced correction tools such as exposure adjustment, brightness and contrast control, highlights, shadows, midtones, gamma, color temperature, tint, saturation, RGB balance, HSL correction, color curves, levels, crop, rotation, lens distortion correction, sepia effect, histogram display, and metadata viewing.
